My personal opinion: I like wechall alot and how it functions. But, somehow the UI is still a little cold. Maybe it is because this UI existed for more than a decade. It may need a fresh look.

Other than that, the functionality is great.

The GUI's color scheme is ok. After all I like the look... no need to use "modern" design when what's currently on the site looks awesome. Maybe some sections need to be modified a bit, but there should not be a big design change, both GUI and colour schema related, if you ask me.

To give an example of "modern" design that some site are using and it is totally against UX: shadow on every piece of text. I even have an example of this bad practice (it's hurting eyes): RoseCode. Sharp fonts will always win.

To improve UX maybe some sections can be AJAXed. For example Reply/Preview forum post.

maybe a few more training but not really needed.

my only problem with the site itself is mobile(samsung wave),
the right side info panels cover every 9 out of 10 pages, either that or the text is squashed and wrapped to 3 letters a line lol.
could be a slight design glitch or just my old(unupdatable) phone.

perhaps add user controlled layout preference to profile settings?(choose which panels to display and where.)
