I started on Net-force v1 (The Dutch version) to solve the challenges in the beginning of 2004.
Pretty soon i got stuck and the only thing i could do was read, understand, learn.
Luckily Net-force was full of information and through the years i solved more and more challenges.
Even when it got too difficult, there's always a large number of people willing to help.
It's a great community and i recommend everyone to register on Net-Force.

Is my perception justified that Net-Force is not being administered at all?

That is my impression too.

I do not see the added value of Net-Force at the moment. Challenges are broken, questions directed at adminstrators are seemingly not answered and public comments are not moderated, granting spambots an undesired amount of freedom.

What level of quality can WeChall users reasonably expect from affiliated sites? I'd suggest to disable this site.

I'd like to hear some opinions.

My personal opinion is i still like net-force and think it should not be disabled.

You are right that the challenges are buggy, this is know since ages.
The bug is really weird and requires you to enter your solution up to 10 times to make sure it`s right or wrong, still the challenges are solveable.
I think many challenges there are quite unique, and good. For example there are some very nice programming challenges ("Do you like the Euro" is one of my favorites).
Also the challenge with that bitstream validation algo is very interesting, whereas i forgot the title of that challenge.

Net-Force might look dead, unadministrated, and can be abused by bots easily, but it does not annoy me enough to disable it here.

My hope is there will be some new admin someday Smile

Of course, more comments are welcome.
This is my personal opinion of the status of net-force and i will try, like always, respect the opinion of others and decide not only based on my personal opinion.

Happy Challenging!

I agree with Gizmore. I wouldn't disable it. It is frustrating that it isn't administered, but as long as it is live it ought to be available for those who want to brave the bugs.

Net-Force is the site where I solved my very first challenge, and I still love this site. As Gizmore said, "hope there will be some new admin someday".
I would like to see NF linked.

I would love it if the site got a new admin. I'd just like to know that I got the answer wrong because I'm an idiot and not because the challenge is broken. That's all I ask.

Which challenge are you hoping to solve, shadum? If it is one that I have solved, maybe I can remember the answer (though it was some time ago!)

Thanks for the offer but it has been a long time since I really worked on anything at the site. I can't remember anymore which ones I was working on that made me suspicious.

The more general problem is that I know some are broken, as confirmed in the site's forum, so I started to worry about anything I tried to solve. It didn't help that I'd been banging my head against a wall with some of those challenges before I read the forum and found out the challenge was broken.

Deep down, I really do like the site so I will probably wander back there eventually. Maybe I'll PM you when I do, if that is OK. I'm not interested in the answer, just assurance that the solution actually works.
